September 2021
Howdy Folks! Hoss the Horse here once again. Fall is here and the hot summer days are all behind us. We had a hard time findin' hay because of the drought so we had to make a feed transition to hay pellets. They worked pretty well but we are missin' eatin' grass and hay. Greatful we are getting rain again so we can eat pellets and hay together again. We had a great amazin' group of youth groups come in and paint ... well everything, build our girls new tack boxes, and repair lots of things us clumsy horses break. Yeehay, it was amazin'. We are also so proud of our 5 teams for making it to 4-H State. We are goin' to be cheering for our girls. We also had a funraiser a few weeks back scheduled by the much needed rain fell too long and made our ranch too wet for the fundraiser. This was a disappointment but oh weeee we were super happy to see the rain after such a dry summer. We are havin' another fundraiser on October 9th. We will get to dress up in Halloween costumes, have bouncy houses, face painting, horse rides, and our train ride with barrells painted to look like us handsome and beautiful selves. We are also all lookin' forward to goin' back to the Harry Horse Shows in Odgen this fall and winter. Hope y'all will come check us out at the show.
We are still lookin' for some experienced trainers and have
Intern positions open; so if y'all
know anyone, will you give a shout out for us.
We also want to give a special shout out to those who have helped us
the last few months:
If you to wish to volunteer, we are always lookin' for help. We love having church youth groups, eagle scouts, private contractors, local businesses, university students, trainers, or just anybody with a love and/or passion for horses and a desire to help our youth. Give us a call to schedule a time to come on out and help. If you don’t have the time to come out and volunteer you might consider sponsoring a girl or donating goods or services as they are always much needed and appreciated. All them there donations are tax exempt seeing as how we are a non-profit organization and all of the donations go toward the horses and their training. We have no paid employees; all our help comes from you great volunteers.
Here are some things we are in need of around these here parts…
Thanks for readin' and hope to hear from some of ya real soon. Well, it's time for me to hit the hay. See y'all next time and stay happy!
