Howdy there folks, Hoss the Horse here once again! We've been havin' a great summer. We have two teams goin' to State for 4H this year, Erin and Roxy and Emery and Sugar. We're so proud of their hard work and dedication this summer. We had a ton of ribbons won durin' the shows with all our girls; we were swimmin' in a sea of Blue, Red, and White ribbons. It was beautiful. I want to give a big YEEEHAAW to our trainer, Heather, who came to our ranch and helped our teams do so great this year in 4-H. She's so special and we really love her.
We will be showin' ourselves off in a few upcomin' parades, River Heights' Apple Days on August 24th and Wellsville's Founders Day on September 2nd. We sure do hope to see some of y'all there cheerin' us on.
We also have some amazin' fundraiser planned for this year that are goin' to be some dirt kickin' fun. Come and join the fun!!
September 14, 2019: The Pony Express Obstacle Run
October 2019: The Halloween Carnival
Our latest fundraiser, May The Horse Be With You Fun Run and Walk was fantastic. We had a great time and have out some amazin' awards. We are so grateful to all who participated and helped us earn money for our ranch.
Just in case you were wonderin’, we now have 15 teenage girls that are currently enrolled in the program out here, and each of us horses are assigned to our very own lady. As we work together as a girl/horse team we learn together and work together to do amazing things. Our girls also learn self discipline, as well as courage, the value of hard work, and that doin' hard things can be fun.
If you to wish to volunteer, we are always lookin' for more. We love having church youth groups, eagle scouts, private contractors, local businesses, university students, trainers, or just anybody with a love and/or passion for horses and a desire to help our youth. Give us a call to schedule a time to come on out and help. If you don’t have the time to come out and volunteer you might consider sponsoring a girl or donating goods or services as they are always much needed and appreciated. All them there donations are tax exempt seeing as how we are a non-profit organization and all of the donations go toward the girls and their horses.
Here are some things we are always in need of around these here parts…
Thanks for readin' and hope to hear from some of ya real soon. Well, it's time for me to hit the hay. See y'all next time!
