Happy Spring All! Hoss the Horse here once again. Spring is finally here and we are so happy. Yes the weather cannot make up its mind but we are definetly excited for warmer nights. I must admit that we are a bit itchy with all of our here sheddin' everywhere. Thirty horses all sheddin' at the same time makes for a furry mess. We participated in the Harry Horseshows over the winter and our girls did fantastic and we had so much fun. We are now startin' our 4-H shows soon so the barrells and poles are out in our arena and field to practice and practice some more. We also are startin' our horse ride and train ride fundraiser on May 15. Hope you all can come and see all the impovements we have been workin' on this spring. The other exciting thing is we can finally have a bath. We are all feelin' a bit dirty and grimy because we have not been able to have a bath since November. We have been waitin' for the temperature to be warm enough for us to finally get a bath. We feel a bit jealous that you all get to bath everyday if you want. We also had a big scare Monday when a huge wind storm came and blew the roof off of some of our stalls. Thankfully no one was hurt and none of us horses were hurt but we were better darn scared for a while after. We are going to need a few new roofs though.
We are still lookin' for some experienced trainers and have
Intern positions open; so if y'all
know anyone, will you give a shout out for us.
We also want to give a special shout out to those who have helped us
the last few months:
If you to wish to volunteer, we are always lookin' for help. We love having church youth groups, eagle scouts, private contractors, local businesses, university students, trainers, or just anybody with a love and/or passion for horses and a desire to help our youth. Give us a call to schedule a time to come on out and help. If you don’t have the time to come out and volunteer you might consider sponsoring a girl or donating goods or services as they are always much needed and appreciated. All them there donations are tax exempt seeing as how we are a non-profit organization and all of the donations go toward the horses and their training. We have no paid employees; all our help comes from you great volunteers.
Here are some things we are in need of around these here parts…
